Core Diagnostics
Core Diagnostics
Quality, cutting-edge reference laboratory technology provides results you can feel confident in, with fast turnarounds and world-class support for the testing you use every day.
Blood Profiles
Chemistry panels that include complete blood counts (CBC), serum chemistry profiles, urinalysis, tissue samples, and fecal tests to measure the patient’s enzymes, hormones, electrolytes, and metabolites. These panels aid in identifying underlying health problems, including liver or kidney disease, diabetes, infections, cancer, and more — providing insights into the pet’s nutritional status and overall wellbeing.
Canine Infectious Disease
Antech uses and develops novel technologies that enable accurate, timely, and cost-efficient evaluation of samples to diagnose a broad range of viral, bacterial, fungal, and parasitic infections in canines.
Clinical Chemistry
Quality control and accurate, reproducible results are our primary goals. We offer a variety of chemistry panels for both mammalian and non-mammalian species. A fully automated state-of-the-art chemistry analyser is used. Artificial intelligence software evaluates results to determine which samples require focused review and evaluation.
Cytology and Dermatology
Antech provides cytological evaluation of fluid, tissue aspirates, impressions, or scrapings using the expertise of boarded cytopathologists facilitating diagnosis, prognosis, and guidance for further testing and treatment.
Endocrinology
Antech provides a broad range of endocrine tests using validated immunoassay technologies and methods including radioimmunoassay, enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, and chemiluminescent immunoassay. Stringent quality-assurance programs ensure accurate, reliable, and repeatable results.
Feline Infectious Disease
Antech provides a broad range of multi-modal testing for the most common respiratory and ocular infections, along with feline retrovirus testing as well as other agents to enable timely and cost-efficient evaluation of samples and accurate diagnosis for felines.
Flow Cytometry
Antech offers immunophenotyping of blood or lymph nodes as well as PARR testing to determine cell lineage or if cells are consistent with neoplasia or a reactive process to assist with cancer diagnosis.
Haematology and Haemostasis
Complete blood counts, including differential cell counts, are performed on state-of-the-art haematology analysers. Antech uses a proprietary artificial intelligence software program to screen samples via a diagnostic algorithm. Screening with International Society for Laboratory Hematology guidelines ensures advanced and thorough CBC evaluation.
Histology
Antech offers histological evaluation by board-certified pathologists skilled in the diagnosis of diseases from different species. Specially trained pathologists exist in the areas of dermatology and hepatology to discuss an individually tailored treatment plan with a histopathological diagnosis. Additional testing can be performed on submitted tissue, including immunohistochemistry, in-situ hybridization, and PCR testing.
Immune Mediated Disease
Antech offers a range of antibody testing to identify a broad range of immune mediated diseases.
Microbiology and Faecal Analysis
Antech provides high-quality, detailed, and complete bacteriology diagnostic services, including aerobic and anaerobic bacterial culture and sensitivity testing, and specific bacterial cultures (acid-fast bacilli, salmonella, Yersinia, campylobacter), and fastidious organisms (mycoplasma, ureaplasma, and tritrichomonas).
Therapeutic Drug Monitoring
Drug monitoring based on state-of-the-art technology aids with interpretation of the clinical picture and dose adjustments to medications. Drug monitoring is available for a variety of therapies, including digoxin, potassium bromide, phenobarbital, zonisamide, keppra, cyclosporine levels, and zinc.
Urine Analysis
Antech offers urine chemistry assessment via semi-automated or fully automated reflectance spectrophotometric analysis and sediment review by a highly trained technician. Stringent criteria exist for verification, and flagged samples undergo cytological review at no additional cost by a boarded pathologist. Further testing, including microalbuminuria, urine protein creatinine ratio, urinary excretion of electrolytes, and certain enzymes, is available when indicated.
